iMessage API Documentation

This iMessage API documentation is for developers sending iMessages from their own code. The endpoints below send a message, look it up by ID or status and resend it. All requests go to https://sms.voidfix.com and are authenticated with the API key from the API section of your VoidFix portal. You need an active iMessage line; see iMessage plans and pricing.

iMessage API quick start

The VoidFix iMessage API lets your own application send blue-bubble iMessages through an iMessage line connected to VoidFix, then check on them and resend if needed. It uses the same base URL as the SMS API. For the other channels and no-code options, start at the developer hub.

Base URL and authentication

  • Base URL: https://sms.voidfix.com
  • Authentication: send your account API key in the key parameter of every request. Copy it from the API section of your VoidFix portal and keep it on your server, never in browser code.
  • Line: pass the deviceID of the iMessage line you want to send from.
  • Method and format: every endpoint takes a POST request with a JSON body, as defined in the OpenAPI spec.

iMessage endpoints

EndpointMethodPurposeMain parameters

/services/read-imessage-by-guid.phpPOSTGet a message by its ID (GUID)key, guid, deviceID
/services/read-messages.phpPOSTGet messages by statuskey, status, optional deviceID, startTimestamp, endTimestamp

Example: send an iMessage with curl

curl -X POST https://sms.voidfix.com/services/send-imessage.php \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "key": "YOUR_API_KEY",
    "number": "+15551234567",
    "message": "Hi Sarah, your appointment is tomorrow at 10am.",
    "deviceID": 123
  }'

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your key, the number with the recipient’s number in international format, and 123 with the device ID of your iMessage line.

Limits and pricing

  • Each iMessage line can message up to 50 unique contacts per day. Add lines for more daily reach.
  • There are no per-message fees. Lines cost $99/month (Bring Your Own iPhone) or $149/month plus a $149 one-time setup (Fully Managed). See iMessage plans and pricing.
  • iMessage reaches Apple users. To reach Android phones, use the SMS or WhatsApp API.

Prefer not to write code? iMessage also connects to GoHighLevel, and the Bubble.io guide shows these calls in Bubble’s API Connector. Read more about the channel on the iMessage for business page.
